0% balance transfer credit cards tend to be the most sought after as customers find ways of reducing their debt without having to pay interest.

The 0% balance transfer rate is usually offered for a fixed period only as an incentive for you to apply; once the fixed period has expired the rate of interest will revert to the standard variable rate and this is how the credit card company makes a profit. If customers still have an outstanding balance on the credit card most will apply for another 0% balance transfer credit card to transfer the remaining balance to, saving paying any unnecessay interest.

It is unusual for a 0% balance transfer credit card to also offer 0% on introduction purchases as the credit card company will see that source as it's profit.
